Practicing hard with traditional methods
Interview with Yang Zhenhe
Tuishou is a basic component of Taijiquan training. In the interview Yang Zhenhe explains that the important thing in these partner forms is to increasingly internalize the movement principles and that these methods of practice should always be geared to the level of the students. Although he teaches the eight basic principles on the basis of certain movements from the form and Tuishou, these are only aids for developing an understanding of the related energies. At a later stage the basic techniques can be used in every movement.
