On the trail of the Wudang arts

One can repeatedly hear and read that Taijiquan had its origins in the Wudang region. But the precise nature of this relationship remains unclear. Paul Shoju Schwerdt made a journey to research the Wudang arts »in the field«. He discovered that cultivation of the martial arts in Wudangshan is just starting again, but that besides training in conventional standard forms there are also special traditional arts that are still mostly unknown.
