Mission accomplished!
On the foundation of an umbrella organization for Qigong and Taijiquan in Germany. By Helmut Oberlack
On 11 September 2003 representatives of 16 Qigong and Taijiquan associations and training institutes met in Göttingen and founded the »Deutscher Dachverband für Qigong und Taijiquan« (DDQT). Helmut Oberlack was a moving force being the process of foundation and describes its development since 1997. In particular the discussions about recognition by the health insurance institutions and about the impending law to regulate life counselling activities seem to have brought movement and »fresh Qi« into the community. As a result, various important organisations have now been able to agree on common principles. Further members are welcome.
