Qigong in the daily routine of a clinic

Interview with Liu Yafei

The »Medical Qigong Clinic of Hebei Province« is the only state-recognised hospital in the People’s Republic of China in which Qigong is the chief method of treatment. During a seminar visit to Germany, its vice-director Liu Yafei was interviewed by Uwe Eichhorn about the way the clinic works and its current situation. As most of the clinic patients now have to pay for their stay themselves, the average treatment period has shrunk from 100 days to about 30 days and in addition to the minimum five hours of Qigong per day, other methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine are being used to accelerate the healing process.
