Tensed shoulders - ways to a
solution with Qigong.
By Gabi Lind
Tensed shoulders and neck is one of the most common posture problems and
often the reason which leads people to Qigong or similar movement therapies.
Gabi Lind makes it clear why Qigong - and the same applies for Taijiquan
- is suited to counteract existing energy blockages and also the underlying
inner patterns. She stresses that a purely physical way of addressing
this problem does not suffice, but that a change of inner attitude has
to take place. From the point of view of Traditional Chinese Medicine,
the connection to the element of "wood" and emotions as well
as to the element of "fire" with all the functions related to
the heart is particularly relevant. Some examples for practice give an
opportunity to immediately address the problem actively.
