Taijiquan for Children - a
school of perception
By Luce Condamine
No matter what abilities children are endowed with, Taijiquan can improve
their physical awareness and the awareness of the space around them.
They learn to relax, find their balance in play and are in good spirits.
Luce Condamine who has experienced, as a mother and paediatrician, how
the wonderful softness, balance and physical ease of small children
falls victim mainly to the adjustment to everyday life at school, argues
in favour of an early introduction of Taijiquan in nurseries and schools.
For her Taijiquan offers a way to counteract this development.
