Eight Treasures from Old China
Baduanjin the Eight Brocade Exercises.
By Foen Tjoeng Lie
The Eight Brocade Exercises were among the first Qigong forms taught in Europe. They are much treasured and highly appreciated both here and in China. Foen Tjoeng Lie explains the origin and the special characteristics of this Waiqong series of exercises, how it works and the different types that have developed over the centuries. Particularly when practising, more or less inner energy is used depending on the intention. This report is the first in a series in which we will present various Qigong systems.
