Yin and Yang in School
The Energetics of everyday School Life and Perspectives for a Use of Qigong.
By Joachim Stuhlmacher
Our education system today is criticised from many angles. Lack of efficiency, pupils without a sense of direction, burnt out teachers ... - there are few concrete examples of solutions for obvious problems. Joachim Stuhlmacher, a Qigong teacher who for years has been giving seminars to teachers, uses the model of Yin and Yang to reach a deeper understanding of the prevailing conditions. The extreme imbalance that may for example occur between intellectual and physical challenges, between stress and calm and also between the Yang-accentuated energy of pupils and the Yin-accentuated energy of teachers is responsible for a massive loss of energy. Qigong offers an opportunity to perceive these relationships more easily and provide a balance in many areas.
