Qigong in cancer therapy.
By Dr. Zuzana Sebkova-Thaller

While in China Qigong plays a major role in cancer therapy the possibilities of this kind of application are fairly unknown here. Guilin-Qigong is a particularly promising method but it requires very careful tuition and it needs a lot of time. Zuzana Sebkova-Thaller has compiled a set of exercises for cancer patients which can be adapted to the possibilities and needs of the individual. It is enjoyment oriented, easy to learn and can be integrated into daily routine. The trainees soon learn to relax, open their senses, become rooted to the ground and develop a feeling for their centre and their energy. Cleansing and protection exercises help the conscious processing of psychological pressures. The »exercise for conversion« with the so-called »breath-turn« plays a central role. It allows corrections in the relationship between the self, the environment and the world as a whole, a change at all levels of ones existence.
